OPEN STUDIOS 2016
Just a few photos of open studios 2016, showing a selection of current available work for purchase. The range of media includes: Batik (wax resist on paper), Etchings, Serigraphs, Collage, oil paintings on canvas and acrylic paintings on canvas. The majority of work is framed although there is a small selection of work that has no frame
Lounge photograph, large canvas ‘Wild Fire’ £850, acrylic on canvas. This picture is very vibrant and I used swish chard and lupins as a starting point for the pice. My garden is a constant source of inspiration. Hall photograph, large canvas ‘Night Garden’ £800, acrylic on canvas. Ornamental cabbage and primroses were the starting point, I love primroses and the frilly edges of the cabbage.
This picture is the one I am working on at the moment (there is about a third to complete), red cabbage and a dahlia provided the starting point. A talk I gave at Hornsea Art Society provided the impetus as I needed to demonstrate and explain how I arrived at an idea for a picture.
